Cary (McHenry County) home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Cary in McHenry County rose by $30,750 while total sales decreased by 5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 38 homes sold, with a median sale price of $240,000 - a 14.7% increase over the $209,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Cary in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Cary for 2017 was $6,699.93. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,645.40. This marks an increase of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
