Richmond home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Richmond rose by $56,250 while total sales increased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $155,000 - a 57% increase over the $98,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Richmond in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Richmond for 2017 was $4,178.93. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,106.20. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
