2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mchenry County?

There were 123 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Mchenry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McHenry Times.

The data shows that 112 men and 11 women were released in Mchenry County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man convicted of a sex crime in 2008.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph P. Mingarelli. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2005 when he was 37 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
