Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McHenry County?

There were 33 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in McHenry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by McHenry Times.

The data shows that 31 men and two women were released in McHenry County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Luis U. Gonzalez. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2014 when he was 18 years old. He is now 23.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each McHenry County municipality.
