2018 Recap: Parolees in Crystal Lake convicted of property crimes

There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Crystal Lake during 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the McHenry Times.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Crystal Lake were men. The younger parolee was a 33-year-old man sentenced in 2017. The other was a 35-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Joseph Laudicina. He was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when he was 31 years old. He is now 33.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in 2018 who were convicted of property crimes.
