Call to Order
The City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, met in a special session on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 5*30 p.m. in the McHenry City Council Chambers, 333S. Green Street, McHenry, IL
Roll Call
Deputy Clerk Johnson called the roll. Roll call: Members present: Alderman Santi, Alderman Glab, Alderman Schaefer, Alderwoman Baehne, Alderman Mihevc, Alderman Devine, Alderwoman Miller, and Mayor Jett. Others present: Administrator Morefield, Director of Public Works Strange, Director of Community Development Polerecky, Finance Director Lynch, Director of Economic Development Martin, Chief of Police Birk, Director of Human Resources Campanella, and Deputy Chief of Police Walsh.
Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Jett proceeded to lead those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Strategic Planning Session
Marcy Piekos and Frances Glossom were present from LGMC Leadership to facilitate the strategic planning session. The City's mission Cl" d vision statements were reviewed, and all members of the Council and staff were able to give input and offer opinions. The plan would be to take the new vision and mission statements to the next City Council meeting for approval and adoption.
Goal statements were introduced and reviewed. There were three main goal statements created by different groups: 1) Identify/create sufficient revenues to meet our annual and long-term operating, capital, and equipment and improvement needs; 2) Initiate a plan to improve revenue streams; 3) Create a realistic projection of short and long-term capital costs.
Council members and staff split into three different groups to discuss a strategy for each of the goal statements. Each group came up with possibilities for each goal, and a timetable for implementing each. Pros and cons of each strategy were also discussed.

Adjournment
A motion was made by Alderwoman Miller and seconded by Alderman Santi to adjourn the meeting at 7*23 p.m. Roll call: Vote: 7- ayes: Alderwoman Baehne, Alderman Schaefer, Alderman Santi, Alderman Glab, Alderman Mihevc, Alderman Devine, Alderwoman Miller. 0- nays, 0- abstained. Motion carried.
