Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 recently issued the following announcement.
District 47 is proud to support the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and looks forward to participating in the 29th annual Community Harvest Food Drive. The pantry provides more than 100,000 pounds of food each year to local families and relies on community support during the month of November to stock its shelves. In District 47, the drive kicks off on October 28th and will run through November 19th.
Food donations can be sent in with students to any D47 school, including Wehde Early Childhood Center and the district's CORE Center, through November 19th. See below for a list of most wanted items. Monetary donations are also accepted; checks can be made payable to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry or donations can be made online at clfoodpantry.org. D47 schools appreciate any and all donations and are excited to be involved in this annual tradition and important community event!
