Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 recently issued the following announcement.
The 2020 Bilingual Parent Leadership Academy will begin in January. The leadership academy is a five-month program open to all parents in the district but geared toward Spanish-speaking parents. The group will meet monthly on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm on the following dates:
- January 21, 2020
- February 18, 2020
- March 17, 2020
- April 21, 2020
- May 19, 2020
This is a classroom type program, presented in Spanish, that will highlight community programs and resources and feature guest speakers each month. Those interested in gaining more insight into their child's education, learning about community resources, developing leadership skills, and meeting other bilingual parents are encouraged to fill out the application.
