City of Crystal Lake issued the following announcement on May 8.
During the week of May 11-15, 2020, the City of Crystal Lake’s 16 outdoor warning sirens will be receiving schedule maintenance and upgrades. As part of the scheduled work, the City’s contractor will need to perform a single, 5 second activation test for each siren.
The contractor will perform maintenance on three to four sirens per day at various locations throughout the City until all 16 sirens are completed. Only one siren at a time will activate for the 5 second period.
