Village Of Holiday Hills Village Board Met Dec. 16.

Call to Order
President French called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Clerk Kirchner attended the meeting via phone. The meeting was held at the Village Hall and, due to the fact that the State of Illinois is under Tier 3 COVID-19 guidelines, the Village Hall was closed to the public. President French was prepared to wire a speaker for any residents who wished to listen from outside, but there was no audience. Proper social distancing was observed.

President’s Report (Lou French)
President French stated that there is a new resident in the Village of Holiday Hills who has experience with outreach programs and would like to assist the village in this area. President French said that he would like to appoint her to help identify and aid village residents in need.
President French reported that, due to the pandemic, the annual Santa Claus event at the Village Hall will be conducted as a parade this year. He said that Santa will be on a decorated trailer and he will be driven around to every street in the village. He said that there will be a police escort and Trustee Thompson will act as Santa’s elf and she will hand out gifts to village children. Mr. Rick Beaudoin will act as Santa or, if his work schedule does not allow it, a member of the police department will fill in. The parade will be held on Saturday 12/19/2020 from 1-3 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be postponed to Sunday 12/20/2020 at the same time.
