On Monday, April 11, 2022, the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate Donna Brooks, LCSW, PLLC and Crystal Street Space at 214 Crystal St., Suites C & D.
Donna Brooks, LCSW, PLLC, is a licensed clinical social worker offering psychotherapy counseling in a safe and creative space supporting clients on their continued journey of mental, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. She encompasses a holistic approach, meeting her clients where they are and working in concert with them towards healing and optimal mental health.
Donna brings a complete methodology to healing and mental health and shares the space with other practitioners that compliment her practice. Called “The Crystal Street Space”, it is a shared location for licensed/certified healing practitioners committed to somatic work that supports learning to feel calm and safe in one’s body and being. This space hosts a trauma-informed yoga therapist, a massage therapist and master reiki practitioner. Appointments may be arranged directly with these practitioners. Crystal Street Space is available for group activities and hosts monthly gatherings on themes of mindfulness, meditation, body, and energy work.
“There is always hope for healing and becoming a more balanced and whole human being,” says Brooks, “I want to be a partner on the journey for those dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, loss, parenting challenges, or marital and relationship issues.”
Donna Brooks graduated with a Master of Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago. She is trained in the Gottman method of couples therapy as well as understanding and supporting the autonomic nervous system as a polyvagal theory and trauma informed therapist. Donna is a trained EMDR and ACT practitioner and utilizes mindfulness and acceptance to move towards the valued life with strengthened psychological flexibility.
