Luis Rangel sentenced to nine years for methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver

On June 21, 2024, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force, in collaboration with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and the DuPage MERIT Major Crimes Unit, executed a residential search warrant on Chapel Hill Road in McHenry, Illinois. The search resulted in the discovery of approximately 447.8 grams of methamphetamine and multiple phones. Luis Rangel was apprehended at his residence during the execution of the warrant.

McHenry County State's Attorney Patrick D. Kenneally commended the diligence and thorough investigative work of all involved units. "Their thorough investigation led to a successful prosecution," said Kenneally, attributing this success to McHenry County Assistant State's Attorney Fara Momen.
