Public Comment

The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda or of a general nature. Public comment is limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Village President and Trustee Reports (Planning & Zoning; Special Events)

Board members have the opportunity to report on any topic during the public meeting.

1. Approval: Consent Agenda – Approval via One Vote for All

All matters listed under Item 1, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. If a separate discussion is desired, that item should be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately.

A. Village Board Meeting Minutes – December 16, 2025

The Board will consider the approval of previous meeting minutes.

B. Accounts Payable – January 6, 2026

The Board will consider the approval of the accounts payable reports and payment of the bills.

C. Treasurer’s Report – November 2025

The Board will consider the approval of the monthly treasurer’s report.

D. Ordinance 2026-01, Setting Public Hearing for Downtown Tax Increment Financing District #3

The Board will consider the approval of an ordinance setting the date and time for a public hearing on the proposed establishment of a new tax increment financing (TIF) district for the ‘Block B’ parcels in the Village’s downtown area (the downtown parcels between Illinois Street & Lincoln Avenue that extend from Northwest Highway to Opatrny Drive not including the Municipal Center). The new TIF district is being created to support the mixed-use redevelopment of ‘Block B’, to include 8,000 square feet of commercial space and tenant amenities on the ground floor with approximately 95 apartments, as well as parking to accommodate these uses.

E. Temporary Liquor License Fee Waiver for Rotary Club of Cary-Grove Beer Fest – February 28, 2026

The Board will consider waiving the temporary liquor license fee for the Rotary Club of Cary-Grove Beer Fest to be held February 28, 2026 at Stonehill Center (944 Route 22).
