Past-due vehicle-tax notices mailed in Port Barrington

Port

Port Barrington is reminding residents to pay the village's mandatory vehicle tax, which was due on June 30.

The $20 fee helps support road and parkway maintenance.

Past-due notices are in the mail now and will include the original $20 tax, plus a $20 late fee. Residents will not receive certain services from the village as long as their vehicle tax remains unpaid.

Stickers are not required on vehicles, but anyone wanting one can pick one up at Village Hall. However, stickers must be displayed to use the Village Boat Ramp.
