The Village Board of Huntley met on Nov. 19 to approve a Veteran’s Day Event at Culver’s of Huntley and to make a special presentation to Pulmonary Hypertension and Men’s Cancer Awareness Month.
Culver’s wanted to host a Veteran’s Day event, while also putting 100 American flags on display Oct. 31 through Nov. 12 on their property. The display area would be along Powers Road and one of their roads on the east side of their property.
The event would also include a Nov. 8 motorcade that would convene at 1 p.m. at Deicke Park. At 1:45 p.m., the motorcade would leave the park and head south down Route 47 to Culver’s. The group is requesting police assistance, which would include traffic direction and the possible use of some of the police department’s barricade.
During the meeting, Richard Myers of Culver’s was present to answer questions.
