Huntley trustees consider contractor bills, waste hauling licensing

Councilmeeting2

Huntley village trustees discussed payment of several bills and licensing for waste haulers at its Dec. 17 Village Board meeting.

Trustees were slated to vote on approving a payment of $110,224.18 to Curran Contracting for the widening of Freeman Road, a payment of $19,113.21 to Berger Excavating Contractors for work completed in the Downtown Utilities Improvements Project and the payment of other bills that totaled $287,341.61.

The board also discussed an ordinance for the annual renewal of licensing for waste haulers managing commercial waste across the village and licensing for waste hauling in the Sun City residential area.

The meeting's agenda also included a resolution for an intergovernmental agreement that would facilitate the McHenry County Housing Authority to operate within the village’s corporate limits and a resolution requesting the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to certify that the Alden Huntley Horizon Senior Independent Living Project is considered to be housing that is sanitary, safe and affordable.
