The Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation board started discussing a master plan for the village's recreation program at a meeting Thursday.
The board also recognized local Eagle Scouts and heard a presentation on adopt-a-park programs.
The Parks and Recreation Board consists of seven members, who are appointed by the village president. Board members, who are all residents of Lake in the Hills, recommend recreation programs and ensure park development.
The board meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Village Hall. The meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are open to the public.
