The Huntley Village Board is slated to discuss a proposal for construction and engineering services for a motor fuel tax (MFT) street renovation program at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The proposal submitted by Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd. (CBBEL) would provide design, engineering and construction observation for 17,700 feet of roads throughout the village. The program aims to facilitate the renovation of Central Park Boulevard, Centennial Lane, Heritage Lane, Lancaster Street, Bethel Lane, Sanbury Street, Fleetwood Street, Middletown Lane, Hanover Avenue, Dutch Barn Avenue and Lansdale Street.

Public Works staff is recommending the proposal, which CBBEL estimates would total approximately $933,000.

The board also will consider a resolution to authorize the village to manage and treat sludge material from the Dean Foods’ Huntley Pretreatment Plant. An agreement made in March approved the sale of real estate to the company. Waste would be treated at the West Wastewater Treatment Facility.
