The Village of Huntley Liquor Commission approved a total of 24 liquor license renewals at its Dec. 17 hearing.

According to the meeting notes, the renewal applications that had been received were reported to have been in line with the village code. The set of licenses also included temporary and sampling requests under class D licenses.

All license requests and renewals were approved with four votes in favor. One member abstained from voting, and one commissioner was absent.

Temporary licenses were granted to six businesses for serving alcoholic beverages outdoors or for specific events. These include the Bowl-Hi Lanes, Huntley Park and Pinecrest Country Club, Rookies, Parkside Pub, Sammy’s and Huntley Legion. Sampling requests were submitted by American Drug Store and the Huntley Beverage Corp.

Video gaming licenses were approved for 10 establishments, as well.

The commission also reported that revenue from liquor and gaming licenses had been deposited into the general fund in order to pay for specified line items as established by the village budget.

This hearing is reported to have been adjourned at approximately 7:02 p.m., following the approval of the liquor and gaming license renewals.
