Lake in the Hills approves pump replacement contract modification

The Village of Lake in the Hills Board of Trustees unanimously approved a modification of a contract with Municipal Well and Pump at its Feb. 11 meeting.

The resolution consisted of an increase in the total amount to be paid to the company and extension of the period of service by an additional 60 days for needed repairs at Well 14. The new contract totals $174,083, and the village should be reimbursed by insurance coverage.

Payment of bills totaling $184,151 also was approved by the board, along with an omnibus agenda consisting of 16 items. Items included in the agenda included the designations of several banks and financial institutions as authorized depositories, and the issuance of a raffle license to Turning Point Inc. and Lake in the Hills American Legion Post #1231.

The board also approved the purchase of a dump truck and a melter applicator for the Public Works Department.
