Oakwood Hills board gets accounting of road salt

Salt

The Village Board of Oakwood Hills recently learned that the community had approximately 312.99 tons of road salt remaining out of the 421.74 tons that existed at the start of the winter season.

Members also reviewed and approved financial statements for November and December 2015 during the board's meeting on Jan. 14.

The board also approved $65,172.63 in bills dated Dec. 1 through 30. Approximately $46,000 of the total amount was paid to Harris Bank and came from motor fuel tax-generated funding.

Members also learned that that late payments from the state had been made.
