Woodstock Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to discuss training progress, recruit update

The Woodstock Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will meet at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

The powers and duties of the Woodstock Board of Fire and Police Commissioners are established by state statute and pertain to sworn members of the Police Department. These duties include conducting a testing process for appointment as a police officer, administering the testing process for promotions and conducting hearings on charges brought against sworn members of the Police Department. This board meets quarterly in Woodstock City Hall, 121 W. Calhoun St.
