Over $157,000 in Public Library Per Capita Grants have been awarded to libraries within the district. These funds are allocated by the General Assembly through the Secretary of State’s office. They aim to help libraries meet key service standards for the 12 million public library patrons across the state.

The grants distributed in the district include $40,202.60 for Cary Area Public Library, $61,731.70 for McHenry Public Library, $37,804.25 for Woodstock Public Library, and $18,174.95 for Rural Woodstock Public Library.

These financial supports are intended to keep libraries strong and maintain community connections.
