The Woodstock Public Works Department issued an update on the status of the Tappan Street improvement project on Monday.
The department said there were several unanticipated events that have caused a delay in the planned schedule required the roadway to be closed during construction activities.
The department said the road will continue to be re-opened by the end of each workday.
Additional work needed to resolve the issues include excavation along the west curb on Tappan Street approximately 200 feet north of Terry Court; installation of a storm-sewer pipe and manholes in the excavated trench; and restoring disturbed areas with topsoil, seed and blanket.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of June.
