The village of Lake in the Hills Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Monday to allow the construction of a 4 foot high picket fence.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the commission:

"The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews applications regarding variances, zoning amendments, conditional use permits, planned unit developments and appeals to decisions made by the Director of Community Development. The commission is also responsible for reviewing subdivision plats and development plans. Based on the findings, the Planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendations to the Village Board."

Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Lake in the Hills Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on the petition of William C. Haack, owner, and Brooke and Vincent DeBartolo, applicants, on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lake in the Hills Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills, Illinois 60156. The petitioner is requesting a variance to Section 15.3-1 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of a 4 foot high, 35% open picket fence in the front yard. The subject site is zoned R-2 One Family Dwelling District and located at 1120 Ash Street and has a PIN # of 19-20-454-001.

At said public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission shall accept all testimony and evidence pertaining to said application. The public is invited to attend and be heard.

The public may also submit written testimony to the Planning and Zoning Commission in advance of the hearing. A copy of the petition is on file for review during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) with the Lake in the Hills Community Development Department, 600 Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156.
