Johnsburg community committee members discuss donations

The village of Johnsburg Community Affairs Committee met Sept. 13 to discuss donations.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the committee:

"Enhance the Village's image and promote community awareness through effective two-way communication between the Village, its residents, local community organizations and surrounding governmental entities. Host engaging social affairs to create a true "Hometown With Spirit" attitude and encourage involvement in Village activities and initiatives. Survey our residents to develop a comprehensive plan for implementation of park, recreational facilities and programs to meet current and future needs of our community. Facilitate committee-to-committee communication within the Village."

Motion was made by Committee Member Calhoun to approve the

August 9, 2016 minutes. Motion was seconded by Committee Member McEvoy. All Committee Members voted aye. Motion carried.

Celebration in the Park – Committee Member McEvoy reported that the thermometer is up. The committee discussed putting up the CITP thank-you posters for supporters and signs for major intersection, and having business with electronic signs to post CITP signs. They also went through the task list to make sure all the details were assigned. The committee is recommending having the band Party Obvious and RKM for fireworks.

Motion was made by Committee Member Calhoun to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Committee Member Kuna. All Committee Members voted aye.

Committee adjourned at 6:56PM.
