In a double display open for exhibition this month, McHenry County College (MCC) features faculty artworks alongside additional varied creations from its permanent collection in two locations: the campus library and Building B’s Epping Gallery.

Selected works on display from MCC’s permanent collection comprise pieces donated or purchased from previous exhibitors, galleries and faculty. This part of the exhibit is housed in the Epping Gallery in the bookstore hallway in Building B, now through Feb. 11.

The MCC faculty works are located in Galleries One and Two in the MCC library through Feb. 28.

Faculty members and their creations include Lee Stanton, painting; Mark Arctander and Matt Irie, painting and mixed media; Sonia Baysinger, metals; Doug Manley and Justin Schmitz, photography; C.J. Niehaus and Tom Vician, ceramics; Sarah Ruthven, ceramics and photography; and Todd Reed, enamel on aluminum.

Arctander teaches painting, drawing, 3-D design and sculpture. Baysinger teaches jewelry; Irie teaches painting and drawing. Manley and Schmitz both teach photography; Niehaus and Vician teach ceramics. Reed teaches drawing and art appreciation; Ruthven teaches art history, education and appreciation. Stanton teaches art appreciation and humanities.
