The Woodstock Recreation Department will hold its 40th Challenge Run and Pool Party on June 17, according to the organization's website.
The event includes 10K, 5K, mile and half-mile run/walk races starting at 8 a.m., with the pool party for participants and their families going on until 11 a.m at the Woodstock Water Works Family Aquatic Center.
Refreshments, drawings for prizes and kids games will be offered after the race as well. Awards will be given in eight age divisions, with gift certificates to the Running Depot going to the top male and female finisher in the 10K and 5K. Every child who completes the mile or half-mile walk/run will earn a medal.
Pre-registration fees are $25 per adult and $15 for anyone 17 and younger. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the aquatic center, with costs set at $35 and $25, respectively. A limited amount of T-shirts will be available.
Online registration is available until 11 p.m. on June 12.
