Analysis: Lake in the Hills pays $3.04 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake In The Hills Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.7 percent of the $1,671,015 the Lake In The Hills Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.04 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake in the Hills contributed $1,248,941 to the fund, which saw a $258,039 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $410,317, or 24.6 percent, in 2016. Another $11,757 came from other unspecified sources.
