Analysis: McHenry pays $2.70 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Mchenry Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73 percent of the $1,899,316 the Mchenry Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.70 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, McHenry contributed $1,386,205 to the fund, which saw a $222,805 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $513,111, or 27 percent, in 2016.
