Burton Township Board of Trustees met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Supervisor Jones called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the Village Hall, Spring Grove, IL.

Roll call present: Supervisor Jones, Clerk Shetsky, Road Commissioner Sutton, Trustees; Eileen Miller, John Flood, Merrilee Anhalt, Dennis Riechart and Assessor Jessica Hubert

Absent: Jessica Hubert

Guest: Ted Trzaskowski, Sandy Miller, Mary Decman

Supervisor Jones led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on March 13, 2018 were read. Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Trustee: John Flood. The accounts payable were presented for payment for the various funds, they were audited, initialed and ordered paid.

Open Annual Town Meeting:

•Mrs. Miller made a motion to open the Annual Town Meeting at 7:06 pm and was seconded by Mr. Flood. Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.

Accept Moderator For Annual Meeting:

•Mrs. Miller made a motion to accept Venetia Jones as the moderator for the Annual Town meeting and was seconded by Mr. Riechart. Voice vote, all aye, motion carried.

Moderator Fee:

•Mr. Flood made a motion to accept the moderator fee of Thirty five dollars to the moderator and was seconded by Mrs. Anhalt. Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.

Adjournment Of The Annual Meeting:

•Mr. Flood made a motion to adjourn the Annual Town Meeting at 7:07 pm and was seconded by Mrs. Miller. Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.

Supervisors Report:

•Sam reminded us of the bill to consolidate townships is still in the works.

•There are no issues with our new webpage.

•A representative from Spring Grove State Bank checked in with Sam to make sure he is satisfied with their service with online banking at this time.

Road & Bridge:

•One of the Trucks had some repair work done.

•Snow removal is going well

Assessor Report:

•No report at this time

Clerks Report:

•No report at this time

Trustees Report:

•Trustee Merrilee Anhalt will contact Richmond to see if they will be holding the Annual Plant sale in May.

Public Comments:

•A resident asked about the update on the mining situation. Sam reminded them that this is not in our jurisdiction.

Adjournment of Regular Meeting:

A motion was made by Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt to adjourn the meeting at 7:21 pm it was seconded by Trustee: Eileen Miller, voice vote all ayes, motion carried.
