Report: Richmond-Burton spent $15,492 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Richmond-Burton Community High School District 157 is up 2 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $15,138 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $15,492 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 766 to 727.

Richmond-Burton's spending in 2016-17 was 19 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
