City of Marengo recently issued the following announcement.
Leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, root balls, potted plants, dead plants, small sticks and twigs are considered yard waste.
All yard waste should be put in bags and tagged for Marengo Disposal to pick up on your regular trash day.
32 gallon trash cans may also be used to contain your waste.
Cans must be tagged for yard waste pick-up to be emptied.
Yard waste will not be removed if it is left on the curbside not bagged and tagged, or if it is not in tagged 32 gallon cans.
Tags may be purchased from: Marengo Disposal, Marengo Convenient Mart, Wisted’s and Brandt’s.
The cost per tag is $2.06 each.
