Centegra Health System - Woodstock Hospital issued the following announcement on May 22.
Get fasting finger-stick blood test, hot breakfast, one-on-one time with health professionals
Dr. Shruti Bahadur, a family medicine physician with Centegra Physician Care, will talk to community members about why it is important to “Know Your Numbers” during a free information session from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock, 3701 Doty Road.
The event includes an 8- to 12-hour fasting finger-stick blood test and checks for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and body-mass index — four key indicators to overall health. When someone knows these numbers, they can make lifestyle changes to improve health and reduce risk of disease. Because attendees have been fasting, a hot breakfast will be included.
Dr. Bahadur will discuss results one-on-one with each registrant. Other health experts in cardiology, oncology, sleep and neuro-rehabilitation also will be available. This session is made possible by the Centegra Health System Foundation.
