Roll Call

The following members were present and responded to roll call: Jude Castro, Rick Czepczynski, Barb Dochterman, Matt Erbstoesser, Lesley Pace, John Wyrostek and Greg Wright

Communication And Recognition Of Visitors

Greg Wright welcomed everyone to the meeting

Citizen’s Forum

John Wyrostek addressed the board and guests on his actions regarding the issue of a shooting range in the city of Marengo.

Leadership Report

Alyssa Fiesser, Tech Coordinator, gave informative information on the tech departments’ role in the district. Mrs. Fiesser discussed the technological road map in education for enhancing student learning, the district e-rate rebate program

Superintendent’s Report

Superintendent Damisch reported on the following:

Regional Safe School Program: Annual board approval for the Regional Safe School Program at Evergreen School.

FOIA: The District had four (4) FOIA’s, all were complied with.

Field Trips & Fundraisers: School year 2018-2019 field trips and fund raisers were presented to board.

3rd Quarter & Year End Financial Update: Superintendent Damisch gave a presentation on 3rd quarter results. She discussed revenues, expenditures. She reported that the District should end this fiscal year strong.

Summer Building Projects: Cost proposals presented to the board for asbestos abatement at MCMS/Grant and unit ventilators at Locust.

Personnel Report: Dellanna Clark-resign from bus barn custodian,James Pasalic-resign from bus driver, Carissa Marchetti-recall as bus driver, Kathy Bailey-retirement end of 2017-2018, Deb Pfeiffer-reassignment to part time cook on student lunch & breakfast days., Wendy Leuthreassignment to part time cook, student lunch days, Anna Market-retirement end of 2017-2018, Jennie Adamson-hire to cook student lunch days, Jessica turner-resign from summer custodian, Melissa Simmons-resign from.5 homework club, Alice Frankowski-hire.5 homework club, Ann Marie Koetz-hire for paraprofessional, Carrie Tjaden-hire for Library Aide, Melinda Swick-hire for 4th grade teacher, Tabitha Leonard and Jennifer Haas hire for Special Education teacher, Patty Zanon-resign from student council advisor, Michelle Currier-Medical LOA 8/13-10/15/2018.

A motion was made by Lesley Pace and seconded by Jude Castro to approve the Consent

Agenda Items. In a roll call vote members voting aye: John Wyrostek, Lesley Pace, Matt Erbstoesser, Barb Dochterman, Rick Czepczynski, Jude Castro and Greg Wright.

Adjournment

There being no further business at this Regular Meeting of the Board of Education, Jude Castro moved seconded by Rick Czepczynski, the motion carried unanimously, and at 7:53 p.m. President, Greg Wright declared the Regular Meeting adjourned.
