Village of Port Barrington Planning Commission met May 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the Commission:

I.Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:02 p.m.

II.Roll Call

Present: Chairman Weiner and Members Ashley, Thomasson, Kotarski, Nelson, Benson and Disclafani. Also present, Deputy Clerk Schroeder and one member of the audience.

III. Consideration of Approval of the Minutes of the February 13, 2018 meeting minutes.

Motion: Ashley moved, seconded by Kotarski, to approve the February 13, 2018 meeting minutes.

Motion Carried.

IV. Discussion only regarding potential variance for newly purchased lot on South Circle

Upon review of the provided hand-drawn house plans, it was the opinion of the Planning Commission that the homeowner provided detailed dimensions of the house plans to determine a more accurate assessment of determining a need for a variance. Based on the rough plans provided, it was the opinion of the Planning Commission that a variance would be required but until detailed dimensions were reviewed, specific measurements were not yet been determined.

Chairman Weiner will reach out to Village staff to request that the owner provide dimensions of the proposed house plans to be further reviewed by the Planning Commission.

V. Storing of trailers and recreational vehicles

Upon the request of the Village Board that the Planning Commission review the trailers and recreational vehicle ordinance, it was the opinion of the Planning Commission that compliance should be enforced by village property maintenance staff. Further, homeowners should continue to comply with the subdivision HOA requirements. Homeowners should continue to follow village ordinance pertaining to licensing regulations.

VI. Deer Grove II Engineering Plan Review

It was the opinion of the Planning Commission, that the plans have not changed from what was previously approved, therefore there were no further recommendations.

It was questioned if the surrounding residents were notified that this development was moving forward.

VIII. Adjourn

Meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
