Village of Freeburg issued the following announcement on June 29.
Please be advised the Village of Freeburg residents are receiving calls stating they are from Ameren or Freeburg Power Plant stating they are going to shut off your power unless you make a payment over the phone. THIS IS A SCAM - HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. If you have any questions, please contact Village Hall at 539-5545. Thank you.
