CARY POLICE DEPARTMENT: 2018 Citizen's Police Academy Now Accepting Applications

Cary Police Department issued the following announcement on June 29.

The Cary Police Department is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Citizen's Police Academy Class. The class will meet Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm at Cary Village Hall, 655 Village Dr. from September 29 thru November 28. This free program, run by the Cary Police Department, is available to persons living or working in Cary. The class will hold a graduation ceremony at the Cary Village Board meeting on December 4, 2018.

Due to the limited number of class spaces, applications will be considered in the order they are received. You will be notified by telephone and mail once the selection process has taken place. The first twenty (20) applicants who successfully complete the application and background process will be accepted to participate in the program. A minimum number (10) of participants are necessary to present this training opportunity.

A background check is required for all applicants.

Applications are due by August 31, 2018 to the Village of Cary Police Department,  Attn: Sergeant Chris Winkelman, Citizen's Police Academy, 654 Village Hall Drive, Cary, IL 60013.
