City of Crystal Lake issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.
Industrial growth and attraction remains strong in Crystal Lake.
Camfil, located on Main Street, broke ground on a 50,000 sq ft expansion that will add six new product lines to their Illinois facility, creating many new job opportunities in Crystal Lake. Camfil is a worldwide leading manufacturer of premium air filters for commercial and industrial systems for air filtration and air pollution control with 28 manufacturing plants globally.
The Crystal Lake facility currently produces 26 million in product and anticipates producing 60 million after the renovation is complete. What is even more impressive is that less than 10 years ago this location was slated to be shut down due to poor performance. New management dedicated to the success of this location were key to not only turning this under-performing location around but enabling this facility to undergo its largest expansion to date.
