The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 150 recently endorsed Craig Wilcox for Illinois State Senate.
Wilcox, who is running for the 32nd Senate District seat, posted the endorsement on his Facebook page, along with a copy of the union’s letter.
“Hardworking Illinoisans are counting on determined leaders to protect their rights and ensure that we have a safe infrastructure this is a strength rather than a weakness when it comes to economic activity and job creation,” the IUOE letter states. “Good luck in the upcoming election.”

Wilcox also recently earned the endorsement of the Illinois Farm Bureau Activator, a bipartisan PAC supporting candidates in state and federal races.
Wilcox spent more than two decades serving in the Air Force, including the 89th Airlift Support Group at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, according to his Facebook profile.
Wilcox became the candidate after GOP officials tapped him to replace Sen. Pam Althoff, who retired at the end of September. On his website, he emphasizes transparency among elected officials, pension reform, property taxes and outmigration as issues legislators need to address to strengthen Illinois.
Wilcox is running against Democrat Mary Mahady in the Nov. 6 general election. The 32nd Senate District includes Burbank, Chicago and Hickory Hills.
