City of Crystal Lake issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.
Crystal Lake is excited to announce the opening of the City’s newest restaurant, Antigua Mexican Grill. Antigua Mexican Grill’s owner, Victor Rodriguez, shares delicious Mexican cuisine – inspired by his hometown of Zacatecas, Mexico – with the Crystal Lake community. Last week, Antigua Mexican Grill opened at 1500 Carlemont Drive (Unit J). At first impression, locals embraced Rodriguez’s unique dining experience, which embodies the taste and feel of Mexico.
From the moment visitors walk in the door of Antigua Mexican Grill, they will undoubtedly witness a restaurant that is rich with history and passion. A large mural on the wall makes customers feel like they are dining alongside the historic Plaza de Toros. For many years, Rodriguez has worked in the restaurant business, and he feels incredibly excited to open his first restaurant. The restaurant, family owned and operated, serves lunch and dinner and offers many delicious options including burritos, tacos and margaritas.
