VILLAGE OF HUNTLEY: A Very Merry Huntley from Nov 30-Dec 1

Village of Huntley issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.

Ring in the holiday season on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1 for our hometown holiday celebration.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Municipal Complex (10987 Main Street)

3 – 8 pm

  • Kris Kringle Market
  • Tree Decorating Contest voting - bring spare change for voting (ALL donations go to the Grafton Food Pantry)
4 – 8 pm

  • Kids activity room (free)  
  • Huntley Holiday Express train rides (free)
  • Visit with Mrs. Claus    
  • Live reindeer
  • Hot chocolate & s’mores sponsored by Journey Church (free)
Huntley Area Public Library (11000 Ruth Road)

3:00 – 8:30 pm 

  • Free horse-drawn trolley rides in Parisek Park
  • Library Open House:  Be sure to pick up your free tickets from the Library

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 1

1st Congregational Church (11628 E Main Street)

9 am - 2 pm    

  • Indoor Farmers Market
  • Craft fair
  • Cookie Walk (until noon)
  • Free kids craft making (starting at 10 am)
10 am - 1 pm  

  • Free horse-drawn trolley rides through Historic Huntley
12 pm  

  • Handbell Choir performance
Trinity Lutheran Church (11008 N Church Street)

12 - 2 pm

  • Free family games
  • Scholastic Book Fair
Town Square Events (on Coral Street)

3 – 6 pm

  • Free horse-drawn trolley rides through Historic Huntley
  • Free hot chocolate
  • Live reindeer (starting at 4 pm)
4 - 7 pm

  • Community pasta dinner at Legion Post 673 (11712 Coral Street)
4:45 pm

  • Christmas Tree Decorating Contest winners announced
5 pm

  • Santa arrives on a fire truck
  • Lighting of the Town Square and the Christmas tree in the Gazebo
  • Holiday fireworks show
  • Pictures with Santa in the Gazebo
