Trisha Zubert led Republican Tom Weber in votes cast in Algonquin Township for the District 64 state House race, according to the latest vote count.
Zubert appeared to outpace Weber by a margin of 3.5 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Barbara Wheeler, won by a margin of 25.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Joel Mains, who received 624 votes to Wheeler's 370.
