Q3 real estate sales report: Island Lake

Median prices rose in Island Lake over last year, and are up 20.3 percent over 10 years, adjusted for inflation, according to third quarter sales data collected by BlockShopper.com.

From July to September, 46 homes sold in Island Lake for a median price of $152,000. That's 14.6 percent higher than median home sale prices for the third quarter of 2017.

In the third quarter, 2 homes in Island Lake were in foreclosure.

Median property tax for homeowners in Island Lake was $4,072.27 in 2017 according to tax data from that year. That means homeowners pay 3.1 percent of their home's value in taxes.
