Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on March 5.
We’ll supply sheets of cardboard and duct tape…you do the rest! Prizes will be awarded for best construction (Most Likely to Survive an Earthquake), Best Theme and Fan Favorite. Families or teams of four (ages 4 and up) are encouraged to participate. The evening’s fun includes: a Baskin Robbins ice cream sundae bar

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm
Fee: $20 per family/team (up to 6 people, ages 4 & up)
Location: The Racket Club, 9101 S. Route 31, Algonquin

Teams should bring additional materials (fabric, cardboard tubes, colored duct tape, stickers, battery powered light etc) to add to your masterpiece. No glue, glitter, paint or other liquids please. A full list of approved supplies is available online at www.crystallakeparks.org/special-events
