McHENRY COUNTY: Submit a Nomination for the 2019 McHenry County Green Awards Deadline March 29, 2019

Submit nominations

McHenry County issued the following announcement on March 6.

McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) and the McHenry County Solid Waste Advisory Committee invite you to submit a nomination for the McHenry County Green Awards. Entries will be considered based on environmentally sound waste reduction or recycling efforts, innovation, and education/encouragement of participation.

The McHenry County Green Awards recognize the waste reduction, recycling, and conservation efforts of businesses, institutions, organizations, and residents in the County. These innovative programs positively impact our community and recycling rates, provide services to our residents, and represent examples to others interested in providing similar services.

Green Award winners will be selected by the McHenry County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and will be recognized at special events throughout the year. One award will be chosen for each of the following categories:

•Business – manufacturing, retail, offices, hotels, restaurants

•Institution – schools, hospitals, long term care facilities, government

•Organization – associations, clubs, volunteer groups

•Individual – a County resident exemplifying waste reduction and recycling efforts

Help us to recognize valuable waste reduction and/or recycling programming and nominate this year’s potential award winners. Please submit nominations to Kelli Boeckmann, Solid Waste Manager at KMBoeckmann@mchenrycountyil.gov or by fax 815-334-4637. Forms are available online at www.mcdh.info and nominations will be accepted through March 29th. For additional information, call Kelli Boeckmann at 815-334-4585.
