Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 recently issued the following announcement.
District 47 third, fourth and fifth graders are invited to submit a T-shirt design to promote the Crystal Lake Police Department's 2019 National Night Out community event. National Night Out is an annual community event hosted by police departments around the country.
This year, students can draw a design related to the annual law enforcement event OR to District 47's PBIS motto of “Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.”
Drawings can be done in colored pencil or crayon and should be submitted to the school art teacher by Fri., April 5th. Finalist artwork will be showcased at the District 47 art show at Lakeside Arts Park on Friday, May 3rd. The contest winner will receive a framed copy of his/her artwork and a National Night Out T-shirt.
The 2019 National Night Out event will be held Tuesday, August 6 at the Three Oaks Recreation Center in Crystal Lake.
