Cary (McHenry County) home prices rise in July 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2017 in Cary in McHenry County rose by $29,000 while total sales decreased by 17.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2017, there were 43 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 13.1% increase over the $221,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Cary in July 2016.

The median sales tax in Cary for 2017 was $6,699.93. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,645.40. This marks an increase of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
