Marengo home prices fall in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Marengo fell by $5,000 while total sales decreased by 18.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 31 homes sold, with a median sale price of $160,000 - a 3% decrease over the $165,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Marengo in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Marengo for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,099.80, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
