CRYSTAL LAKE PARK DISTRICT: Final Lunch and Learn of the season at Colonel Palmer House Features Home Wine Making on May 3

Crystal Lake Park District issued the following announcement on April 24.

Don’t’ miss out on the chance to experience the Lunch and Learn program at the Colonel Palmer. This is the last session of Lunch and Learn until Fall 2019. The program includes a delicious sack lunch for participants. For more information contact Ashley Palazzo at palmerhouse@crystallakeparks.org or 815-477-5873.  

 The Colonel Palmer House, 660 E. Terra Cotta Ave in Crystal Lake was built c.1858 by settlers Gustavus and Henrietta Palmer. Located on its original site, the home was entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Currently the home is maintained by the Crystal Lake Park District and is home to the Crystal Lake Historical Society.

 Home Wine Making (ages 21 & up)

Curious about how wine is made? Bob Frenz will lead you through the intriguing process of wine making that you can then try in your own home!
